Have you ever told someone you're bored, only to hear, "There's always something to do"?
Those people aren't wrong-- the library is not only full of books, media, and other resources, but also busy with programs on a regular basis. To see what's going on at your library, you've got several options:
What is a scholarly source? Why do I need a peer reviewed article for my research paper? Where can I find one of these? Well, we can help you with these questions with just a library card and several clicks of a mouse. If you have a library card and password, go to our Research and Learn tab then click it! You will find over 100 databases at your fingertips!
Have you heard of NaNoWriMo? That's National Novel Writing Month, where people all over the world commit to writing 50,000 words of fiction during the month of November. If you love to write, sign up for NaNoWriMo either in their main program or in their young writers program. Join writers all around the globe as they write fast and furious to get out that first draft of a novel! Also, Tulsa Library's Young People's Creative Writing Contest is just around the corner--entries are accepted from February 1 - March 4, 2016.
