Cheese - rats and MORE! The summer I learned to fly

A summer job and summer friendships along with a special list from her father! Drew's story is one to read with caution and care.

Totally Shocking - Michael Vey The Prisoner of Cell 25

The first in the series, Michel Vey is a page turner! A look at friendship and teens showing their reactions to special powers quite a bit like the TV series, Heroes (2006-10). Check the website out at http://www.michaelvey.com/

October is ghost story time - The Revenant

The Revenant is a mystery wrapped in a ghost story with local Oklahoma history, too!  The author, Gensler is a romantic as well and it comes through strong in her writing! Revenant, french origin - one that returns after death or a long absence. October is a great time to read "The Revenant!"

Ashfall, another Sequoyah nominee!

Mullin's Ashfall is a page turner. If you have ever been to Yellowstone, you will want to read this book.  If you have ever taken Karate lessons, you will want to read this book! Alex begins a journey to find his family, he meets up with a survivor, Darla and their comradery sets the pace for this story.  Volcano ash sets the tone of the story, much like C. McCarthy's The road, a tale of survival and social regression.

Check out the information on Yellowstone at:  http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/observatories/yvo/index.html
