New Teen Books at Hardesty - February 1, 2013

Here are some new fiction titles we've put out on display here at Hardesty:

The Demon Trapper's Daughter

Riley Blackthorne is not having a good year--her mom died of cancer, her dad is struggling to pay off the medical bills, and she isn't allowed to trap anything higher than a Grade One Demon. How is she ever supposed to move up in the Trappers' Guild?

Set in Atlanta in 2018, The Demon Trapper's Daughter explores a world in which economies are collapsing, demons roam the land, and life is getting pretty bleak. Riley has to figure out how to survive not only the loss of family and friends, but even day-to-day life. What's wrong with the Holy Water? Why do the demons call her by name? And how can she get her Guild to see her as more than a child?
