Bookface Photo Contest


November is bookface month at BA! What is bookface?

Book Face [book feys] n:

When a person obscures or augments any part of their body with a book cover, causing an illusion.

Through the month of November, we are holding a contest for the most creative bookface photo. To enter, use any book to make your own bookface picture (be creative!) Email your picture to ba at tulsalibrary dot org. Anyone who lives in Broken Arrow or has a Tulsa City-County library card can enter.

Julie Anne Peters has writen the story of two totally different girls who find themselves squaring off in a peer-counseling program where they find that they have---SURPRISE!!! more than a few things in common. Included in the book is a reading-group guide written by the author. Check your local library to get a copy!

Sista' Chat Book Club

Join Sista' Chat Book Club on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 12pm-1:30pm. The lively discussion will be on the new Hill Harper title, The Wealth Cure: Putting Money In Its Place. Hill Harper, the 2012 Sankofa Award Winner, will be in Tulsa to accept the award in February 2012. Sista' Chat Book Club welcomes teens ages, 16-18.
