'Captain America:The first avenger' arrives on DVD at the Library!!

If you're a huge Cap fan and havent seen the blockbuster film (shame on you!) The first copies have arrived at the Library.  Request it before the wait list get too long!!

"It is 1942, America has entered World War II, and sickly but determined Steve Rogers is frustrated at being rejected yet again for military service. Everything changes when Dr. Erksine recruits him for the secret Project Rebirth. When Dr. Erksine is then immediately assassinated by an agent of Nazi Germany's head of its secret HYDRA research department, Johann Schmidt aka the Red Skull, Rogers is left as a unique man who is initially misused as a propaganda mascot. However, when his comrades need him, Rogers goes on a successful adventure that truly makes him Captain America and his war against Schmidt begins.

Jenks Teen Advisory Group November Meeting

Join the Jenks Teen Advisory Group (J-TAG) for Game Night Tuesday Nov. 8th from 4:00-5:00 at the Jenks Library. Teens have your voice heard. We will be deciding on programming for January and February as well as discussing our December Holiday Party. Afterward we will raid the board game closet including Apples to Apples, Scrabble, Settlers of Catan and more! There will be prizes and refreshments. Any 6th-12th graders are welcome.

Teen Lounge November Art Project: Paper Sculpture


This month we will be putting the pencils aside and grabbing the scissors and paper.  Using a variety of paper and cardstock we will examine and create various images and compostions using only paper. This isnt scrapbooking..Its fine Art!!

Any ideas for teen/tween programs at the GP Library???

Hi!  I am looking for some ideas for Teen/Tween programs. We do have the Wii--what additional games would be good to add??? We have some puzzles, so I was thinking of Puzzle Day along with the Wii.  Any crafty ideas???  We've done Origami, and Duct Tape stuff and beading, what else would you all like to do???
