2017 Young People's Creative Writing Contest Results!

 

Thank you to everyone who entered this year's Young People's Creative Writing Contest! We had over 400 entries this year to send to our judges -- wow! Below is a full list of winners, and attached at the bottom of this blog post are scanned copies of the winning entries (coming soon!). Winners will be honored in an award ceremony on Friday, May 5, at 7 pm, at the Hardesty Regional Library's Connor's Cove Theatre. All are welcome to attend the ceremony and hear author Laurie Halse Anderson speak about writing, books, and her life as an author. Congratulations to all the winners!

2014 Doodle 4 Google Competition

If you're an artist or inventor, check out the 2014 Doodle 4 Google Competition! The page states that "one talented young artist will see his or her artwork on the Google homepage and receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school." BA Teen Film Contest

The Broken Arrow Library is hosting a Teen Underground Film Festival & Contest for Summer 2013!

**The first prize film will win a $50 gift card**

Teens in 6th-12th grades can enter films up to 10 minutes in length between June 1 - July 27.  Films will be premiered & prizes awarded at the Festival on August 1 at 6pm.  Attend the following programs at the Broken Arrow Library to learn about filmmaking and/or create films to be entered in the contest.

Jenks Dream Big Photography Contest

Do you love photography? Here is your chance to display your talent! Take a picture of friends, home, travels or whatever inspires you to dream. We will display all photos plus award prizes by age group. Rules and entry forms are available at the Jenks Library or can be downloaded here. All photos will be on display July 9th-31st. Open to ages 12-18. Deadline to enter is July 2nd.
